Sweat by TanzerDragon
Before the summer is over, I had to at least finish this. This heat is really something, ey? Goddamn global warming.

I started the drawing last year, but its been a while for me to really catch up projects I start and want to finish.

And as always, (c) Tannie Duong

Hey guys, a rather belated Valentine's picture, but something I made day of on Saturday... I just forgot to upload it. Oops!

I started this painting off in in Mischief and then moved it over to Photoshop to finish off.
Child of Light - Running through the Forest by TanzerDragon
Child of Light - Running through the Forest
I really wanted to do a Child of Light tribute after I finished the game sometime in November/December. It's really an amazing game. The story was very basic, but it was simple and ended just right. It's an homage to classic jrpg's, which I love! I thought the battle system was different and pretty neat! But I love the art, the music, and the creativity from the game the most. I've had the soundtrack played on repeat a lot since I beat everything!

I'd like to actually make a progression though when I find the time to paint the older versions of Aurora as she grows too. But right now, I got to focus on other things.

Hope you guys enjoy this as much as it was to make.
Sailor Jupiter - Gentle Protector by TanzerDragon
Sailor Jupiter - Gentle Protector
This is a watercolor painting I made for a very close friend of mine, her birthday was in November, but I never got around to paint it until December. I used a pearl colored iridescent paint for the lightning in her hand so, I am sorry that a digital picture of it doesn't do the actual painting justice.

In any case, I think this one was way better than what I gave my sailor moon reddit secret santa... >< But for friends, I try extra hard without the cost. Hope you guys enjoy it too. :) I added some oak leaves on the side bottoms in case anyone was wondering.

Greatly inspired by Calvin Harris and Haim collaboration "Pray to God" -…

I'm officially done listening to this song after this painting though.

This was first created with a new software called Mischief. It's a lot like Sketchbook Pro but way more intuitive and easier to use. They're currently selling it for $25 at the moment -- price just keeps dropping! It's still somewhat buggy on Windows 7, but totally worth it. It's actually vector based and you can scale your image however big or small. The program itself doesn't use as much cpu as Photoshop. But after the initial sketch, I exported to photoshop with all the layers, smoothed out the kinks, and finished it up.

Hey all!

I just reupdated my website. Originally, it was at, but I have since moved to
New freelance projects have been posted up, and the site looks cleaner and a lot better to navigate, which I have to thank my friend Susie for, who is an awesome all-around graphic designer in the LA area. Deviantart is sort of a dump of a lot of things, but my portfolio is where all my more professional jobs I've done for other people and personal projects.

Also, did you know I have an instagram? I post much more frequently and with sketches, and sometimes mini video clips. Someday, I'd like to invest in a good/decent camera and post some process videos on how I work traditionally. :) But that's somewhat a little far from my mind atm.

I have been posting a lot less on Facebook -- I am very frustrated with it. FB is fickle, and it only shows content that people paid their advertisements, its chock full of inane advertisements and nothing from things I want to see. Also, its difficult to get content to your true followers, even though I have a little more than a 1000 fans, only 10% see my posts, that's sort of stupid because I paid advertising money (on accident to be sure, I didn't know what button I pressed until it was too late!). And don't get me started on my own personal account.... Facebook is just getting gross now. It was a good 7 years, but I grow tired. But the silly thing is, that I have deactivate mine in order to avoid it. I haven't really touched my personal account until 2 nights ago since February, and that was because I wanted to say happy birthday to a good friend in Korea, and I couldn't get in touch with her any other way. But I feel so freeeee! Life without fb is good. Well, that's my rant on Facebook. Anyone else want to chime in? Feel free.

ahh, I see. What are they planning to do next week?

I sort of screwed up my timing so I did not get to submit everything, I spent too much time making corrections so I didn't get to put together my old figure drawings from last semester... :| Oh well. Lesson learned.
